Description

Founded in 1892, the Chicago Maroon is the independent student newspaper of the University of Chicago, covering campus news, arts, sports, and more. Focal points of our coverage this year include the successes and challenges of first-generation, low-income students and Black students on campus; demonstrations by student activist groups and campus unions; and business and community developments in Hyde Park. Alongside our robust editorial coverage, we have robust multimedia teams producing in-depth podcast interviews with major campus figures, photo essays of nature on campus, and crosswords several times per week. The Maroon looks forward to continuing its historic role as the paper of record for the University of Chicago.
